NASSCO is a trade organization that conducts research and creates educational resources for sewer professionals.
The purpose of the Nassco certification program is to establish industry standards for the evaluation, maintenance, and rehabilitation of underground infrastructure.
INLOC Robotics is a NASSCO member, committed to ensuring the standards of the sewer industry.
National Association of Sewer Service Companies
Since its inception, NASSCO has adapted to evolving industry standards and has sought to establish these standards for the assessment, maintenance and rehabilitation of underground infrastructure.
At NASSCO, we find the Pipeline Assessment Certification Program (PACP), the Lateral Assessment Certification Program (LACP), and the Manhole Assessment Certification Program (MACP).

Why is PACP certification important?
With infrastructure becoming increasingly outdated in our communities across the country, it is important for industry professionals to objectively assess the state of infrastructure to prioritize infrastructure improvements.
With PACP, all operators rely on the same standardized defect coding system, making it easy to objectively compare inspections performed by different professionals at different times.
An inspection standard makes it easier to record more accurate and detailed information about a pipeline and its condition.
How to obtain Nasco certification?
To obtain PACP certification, wastewater professionals must participate in a two-day course, and subsequently pass the PACP exam.
Earning PACP certification is a prerequisite for NASSCO’s Manhole Assessment Certification Program (MACP) and Lateral Assessment Certification Program (LACP).
LACP and MACP certification can also be completed simultaneously with PACP in a three-day course.
The exam is multiple choice and students are required to answer at least 85% of the questions correctly to be certified.
Benefits of PACP Certification
With this valuable information, city councils or companies responsible for sewerage can create strategies that more effectively minimize risk, time and resources, while maximizing return on investment.
With the NASSCO encryption standard, it’s easy to share data with other software programs. Inloc Robotics, as a member of NASSCO, is committed to working with others to establish industry standards for the assessment, maintenance, and rehabilitation of underground infrastructure.
The goal of these programs is to help companies responsible for sewer maintenance build comprehensive databases to properly identify, plan, prioritize, manage, and renovate their assets, based on condition assessment.
Sewer maintenance is much smarter, safer and more efficient.
