Why is PACP certification important?
With infrastructure becoming increasingly outdated in our communities across the country, it is important for industry professionals to objectively assess the state of infrastructure to prioritize infrastructure improvements.
With PACP, all operators rely on the same standardized defect coding system, making it easy to objectively compare inspections performed by different professionals at different times.
An inspection standard makes it easier to record more accurate and detailed information about a pipeline and its condition.
How to obtain Nasco certification?
To obtain PACP certification, wastewater professionals must participate in a two-day course, and subsequently pass the PACP exam.
Earning PACP certification is a prerequisite for NASSCO’s Manhole Assessment Certification Program (MACP) and Lateral Assessment Certification Program (LACP).
LACP and MACP certification can also be completed simultaneously with PACP in a three-day course.
The exam is multiple choice and students are required to answer at least 85% of the questions correctly to be certified.
